Sitges Classic

The History
Sitges Vela Clàssica was born from the initiative of two sailors—Andreas and Jordi—who were passionate about classic sailing, the sea, and marine mechanics. With experience in regattas and boat restoration, they decided to launch this project with the aim of creating a nautical environment where tradition, sport, and community come together in a high-level event, open to all classic sailing enthusiasts.
The regatta will be held in the Port of Sitges – Aiguadolç, a historic nautical location, ideal for hosting a competition of this magnitude. Located at the foot of the Garraf Natural Park and just minutes from Barcelona, this port combines accessibility with a privileged natural setting. Its range of services, restaurants, and shops, along with Sitges's welcoming, nautical atmosphere, make it a perfect place for sailors, companions, and visitors alike.
The 2025 edition will mark a step forward: we aim to professionalize the organization, expand international participation, and consolidate the event as a must-attend event on the Mediterranean classic racing calendar.

Sitges
Classics
Why Sitges? Because it's a Mediterranean city with a nautical vocation, a long tradition of cultural events, and a strategic location that facilitates the arrival of boats and international visitors. Furthermore, its community has always demonstrated a strong commitment to the sea, sustainability, and sport.
Why hold a classic sailing regatta in Sitges? Because we believe that classic sailing deserves its own space, with identity, visibility, and continuity. Our vision is to make Sitges Vela Clàssica a benchmark on the European circuit, contributing to nautical tourism and the recognition of maritime heritage.
