The Boat

Built in 1935 by the legendary German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, the Tagomago is a classic racing yawl that combines the elegance of a golden age with a first-class seaworthy structure.

Secrets

With its 14.22 meters in length , almost 3 meters in width and a generous sail area of 140 m² , it is a sailboat designed to perform in racing but also to captivate with its aesthetics.

The keel is made of oak , the hull is built of Flanders pine, the deck is made of iroko and the main mast is made of Oregon pine, a combination that speaks of the nobility of its materials and the artisanal care with which it was conceived.

The boat arrived in Ibiza in 1979, where its current cabin was built and it was named Tagomago II . Since then, it has sailed the Balearic and Mediterranean waters with the sobriety and steadiness of a well-balanced classic. It is currently undergoing restoration , moored in Port Ginesta (Castelldefels) , where it continues to operate as a sailboat for sailing courses and private trips.

The Tagomago is much more than a floating jewel: she is a testament to the legacy of Abeking & Rasmussen, the undisputed benchmark in the construction of fine racing sailboats in Northern Europe. Her silhouette, reminiscent of the great designs of the interwar period, continues to thrill sailors and observers alike.
